The Professor’s Page

Where does Tattoo Meanings get its information?

We do RESEARCH! Too often people go to generic internet sources like Wikipedia or Faqfarm.com (hey, we go to those sites too!), but they are not enough by themselves. The information is not monitored, and you run the risk of ending up with somebody’s personal opinion rather than fact.

Here at Tattoo Meanings, we check and double-check our information. In addition to internet sites, we have our own library of resources, as well as access to a powerful combination of public and university libraries and data bases. Our key researcher, Tom Endres, is a (tattooed!) professor of Communication Studies who specializes in human symbols and message exchange.

In addition to reading everything he can about tattoos, Tom conducts interviews with a cross-section of tattooed individual and gets the stories directly from them.

Some of the Professor's interviews.
